WORK EXPERIENCE

Principal Geologist, GCI Environmental Services, Lancaster, PA, 1982 - present

F
ounded Groundwater Cleanup Inc. (now d/b/a GCI Environmental Services). Responsibilities include corporate administration, business development and project management. Mr. Marion has overseen all aspects of investigation and remediation projects at over 300 sites, ranging from minor spills, site assessments or tank pulls, to major releases involving tens of thousands of gallons. Professional services have been provided for clients including private homeowners, small and medium businesses, municipalities, and major oil companies. Mr. Marion has experience with the design and maintenance of a wide range of groundwater and soil remedial systems, and has conducted hundreds of environmental assessments for real estate transactions. Mr. Marion is familiar with the requirements of various state regulatory agencies.

Five years experience as a geologic consultant and project manager. Worked on groundwater projects including water supply studies, landfill siting and investigation and remediation of underground petroleum spills, including biological remediation.

Responsibilities include project management and business development. Mr. Brown is experienced in and oversees all aspects of landfill monitoring and investigation\remediation projects, including oversight of professional staff.

Geologist IV, EA Engineering, Hunt Valley, MD, November 1985- September, 1992

Conducted environmental investigations at sanitary and hazardous waste landfills, UST sites, and Department of Defense facilities. Project management responsibilities included development of sampling and analysis plans, cost accounting, client and regulatory agency interaction, technical report preparation, and supervision of field activities. Field activities and procedures utilized included geophysical surveys, soil gas surveys, soil borings, monitoring well installation, aquifer tests, groundwater and surface water sampling, and topographic surveying.

Geologist, Maryland State Highway Administration, Baltimore, MD. 1984 - 1985

Worked on numerous groundwater projects related to road deicing salt contamination of domestic water supply wells. Conducted groundwater tracer study and geophysical survey to evaluate the use of sinkholes as highway drainage discharge points.

Associate Engineer, Martin Marietta Chemicals, Baltimore, MD. 1982 - 1985

Prepared technical reports on evaluations of chemical and mineralogy data from the analysis of fly ash and fuel oil ash deposits formed in coal and oil-fired electric generating stations.

Served as project inspector for civil and geotechnical engineering projects. Conducted field testing of soil related to foundation design and earth fill placement projects.
